Privacy Policy

This is a small, self-hosted golf pool app built for a private group of friends. It isn't a commercial product, and your information is never sold or shared for advertising.

What we collect

• Your name and email address, used to create your account.
• Your password, stored as a one-way hash (bcrypt) — the site never keeps or sees your plain-text password. If you sign in with Google instead, we don't receive or store your Google password.
• Your team name and color, and the golfer picks you submit.
• A payment link (e.g. Venmo, Cash App), only if you choose to add one, so winners can be paid.

How it's used

Solely to run the pool: showing standings and leaderboards to other members of your pool, and emailing you things like a password reset link or a tournament recap. Golfer names/scores/odds shown in the app come from public sports-data APIs (ESPN, The Odds API) — no personal data is sent to those services.

Sign in with Google

If you choose to sign in with Google, we only request your basic profile (name, email) to identify your account — we don't request or access your Gmail, Drive, or any other Google data.

Cookies

A session cookie keeps you logged in, and a short-lived cookie remembers a pending pool invite if you follow an invite link before signing up. Neither is used for tracking or advertising.

You can ask to have your account and data deleted at any time — just reach out (contact below).
